jason feels like an afterthought next to lucia and i'm confused

Every thread I open lately is Lucia this, Lucia that. I'm not complaining, she's clearly the one Rockstar wants us to focus on. But Jason barely gets a mention unless someone's pointing out how little we know about him.

The weird part is the trailers give him plenty of screen time. He's in the action shots, the driving, the shootouts. Visually he's all over the place. Yet when people talk about the characters, it's all Lucia's backstory, Lucia's motivations, Lucia's arc. Jason is just the guy standing next to her. I couldn't tell you a single concrete thing about his personality from the marketing so far.

And now I'm seeing folks compare Lucia to Arthur Morgan, which is a huge claim to make before the game is even out. Arthur had a whole game to earn that. If Lucia's going to be that good, fine, but where does that leave Jason? Is he just the player two option, or is Rockstar hiding something bigger?

I don't need Jason to be the main character. I just want him to feel like an actual character and not a prop for Lucia's story. If she's nuanced and not some shallow girl boss, I'm good. But right now the imbalance is weird.

Do you think Rockstar is keeping Jason's side of things under wraps because he's the twist, or is he genuinely just meant to be the quieter half of the duo?
