drift cars in gta 6 — what are the chances they're in at launch?
I've been out of the GTA Online loop for a while, mostly doing RP stuff, but I caught wind of the drift cars they added with the Chop Shop DLC. I know there was a whole drift tuning update too. For those who've been playing, how did those cars actually land? Did people stick with them or was it more of a novelty that died off?
I'm asking because I really hope Rockstar doesn't make us wait years for proper drift mechanics in GTA 6. The Chop Shop cars seemed like a test run for something bigger, and with the new handling model they're building for VI, it feels like a no-brainer to have drift builds available from day one. Not just a handful of cars with a special mod, but actual tuning options that let you turn almost anything into a drift missile if you set it up right.
I know we're all speculating about the driving physics, but if they nail the weight and suspension feel, drifting could be incredible in Leonida. Imagine sliding through the Vice City streets or hitting the mountain roads up near Mount Kalaga. The car culture in Florida is huge, so it'd be weird if they ignored it. Fingers crossed they don't lock it behind some future online update.

Handling model's being rebuilt, sure. But day one drift builds? Rockstar's already slicing the Vintage Vice City Pack off for pre-orders. Expect the real car culture depth to arrive in a later update. Hope I'm wrong.
