I think I know what they're showing on the 27th

Wasn't gonna post this but the new artwork basically confirmed something I've been sitting on.

Look at the key art they dropped for the Extended Look. Jason and Lucia in front of a gas station. Now go back to Trailer 1 and watch the robbery clip. Lucia's wearing the same denim shorts, Jason's got the bandana, and here's the kicker: same car, same license plate. That's not a coincidence.

I've heard the Extended Look isn't another cinematic trailer. They're gonna walk us through that exact robbery as actual gameplay. Like, here's how you approach the gas station, how the stick-up works, NPC reactions, combat, the getaway, police response, all the little mechanics we've only seen glimpses of. Trailer 1 gave us the movie version. This is the real thing.

And the artwork makes total sense now. Why put them in front of a gas station with the same car and outfits unless you're teasing the mission you're about to show? Rockstar doesn't do random.

If the Extended Look opens with that robbery, you heard it here first. What do you think they'll focus on most, the combat flow or the new wanted system?

The outfit and plate match is a solid catch. Rockstar loves that kind of continuity between cinematic and playable versions. Remember how GTA V's first trailer showed Franklin repo'ing the BeeJay XL, and the prologue mission later gave us the actual loop with UI and fail states? If they're doing the same here, I'm mostly curious about how the wanted system escalates during a rural stick-up. Port Gellhorn isn't downtown Vice City. Smaller town, fewer cops, maybe a slower response time but tougher escape routes. That's where mission design gets interesting.

same car, same license plate

If that's the thread connecting Trailer 1 to August 27, I'm betting we see the full approach-to-getaway flow rather than just a montage. Combat will look fine. It's the getaway logic I'm waiting to grade.

I don't know if

same car, same license plate
means we get the full robbery walkthrough. Rockstar keeps characters consistent in promo art all the time. Could just be their "look" for this part of story, you know? Maybe they just liked the color of that car for the poster.

Still, I hope the rural wanted system is what MissionRunner says. Port Gellhorn looks like those small coastal towns here in Brazil where everyone knows when stranger car shows up. Escape must be tricky with those swamp roads around Grassrivers. That's what I want to see. Not just gunfights, but how the car handles when you push it off asphalt and maybe bounce through some trailer park. If they show that on August 27, I'm happy.

ok so the license plate match is a decent catch but i'm not totally sold it means we're getting the full robbery walkthrough. Rockstar reuses assets for promo all the time. still, if they do open with that stick-up, i want to see how long rural cops take to show up in Port Gellhorn and if the swamp actually slows your escape. way more interesting than just gunplay.
