stealing a supercar at a red light might be the early game loophole

Been thinking about this since the whole luxury cars need a special tool early game thing started floating around. Everyone assumes you're just locked out of the nice rides until you get whatever gadget it is. But what about the dumbest workaround possible?

You're at an intersection in Vice City. Some NPC in a fresh supercar is sitting at a red light, engine running. You smash the window, drag them out, hop in. The car is already on. You don't need to hotwire anything. You just drive off. Would Rockstar actually let that slide?

The key thing is interesting though. In real life most modern supercars have push button start and the key fob needs to be inside the car for it to keep running or restart. If the driver had it in their pocket and you yank them out, the car might shut down the second you try to move it. Or it might keep running until you turn it off, then you're screwed. GTA has never been that realistic about car theft, but GTA 6 is clearly going for more detail.

I could see Rockstar making it so the car dies once the owner is too far away, just to close the loophole. That would be a very Rockstar way to say nice try. Or maybe they don't bother and it's a legit early game trick. The special tool might only matter for parked cars with the engine off. If it's running at a light, maybe it's fair game.

Either way I'm definitely trying it on day one. Worst case I get a wanted level and a dead supercar in the middle of Ocean Drive. Best case I'm cruising in something I shouldn't have for the first ten hours.

They thought of it first. Nothing says Rockstar like an engine dying half a block away with two stars.
