truck bed cargo needs to actually move around in gta 6

Saw that screenshot of Jason's truck again and it got me thinking about how much I want loose cargo to actually behave like loose cargo. The locker in the bed looks bolted down, which I get. It's probably a storage menu thing, like the saddlebags in RDR2. But if I throw a toolbox or some gas cans in the back, I want them sliding around when I take a corner too fast.

GTA 5 kind of teased this with stuff in the back of pickups, but it never felt like it mattered. You'd hit a bump and maybe a barrel shifted a little. I want the full thing in 6. Load up a truck with whatever junk is lying around, then watch it all spill out when you clip a guardrail. That's the kind of small detail that makes the world feel alive without needing a cutscene.

The extended look showed a lot of vehicles and cargo, but I don't remember seeing anything that confirmed loose objects in truck beds. Maybe I missed it. If Rockstar is going all in on the "world feels alive" thing, this seems like an easy win. They already have physics for bodies and props. Just let the truck bed be a container that holds dynamic objects.

I also want to be able to actually load stuff manually. Not just a menu. Pick up a crate, walk it over, drop it in. Then drive off and see it bounce around. If it falls out, it falls out. That's on me for not securing it.

The locker being stationary doesn't bother me. That's a different thing. It's a storage feature, not a prop. But everything else in the bed should have weight and momentum. If I rear end someone, I want to see my junk fly forward and smash into the cab. That would be so satisfying.

Anyway, small thing, but it's the kind of thing I'll notice every time I drive a truck. Rockstar usually nails this stuff, so I'm hopeful.

Cargo weight should mess with handling too. Bed full of cinder blocks, your braking zones get LONG. Loose toolbox slides mid drift, suddenly the rear steps out on you. That's the kind of physics I'd actually pay for.

This. Consequences make hauling fun. GTA 5 pickups felt like the bed was glued shut, everything just sat there frozen. Let the junk breathe.
